Organoleptic characteristics: in colour, this wine is intense and deep red with garnet red reflections. On the nose, it shows a vinous scent with a bouquet of ripe red fruit and liquorice. Dry and round-body, elegant and sapid. The ageing in barriques gives this wine a powerful tannic texture. The finish displays spicy hints.
Food pairings: ideal with meat and roasts. It is also excellent with pasta dishes with tomato sauce. Pairing is also possible with orange duch and Venetian style liver (fegato alla veneziana). Excellent with seasoned chees, in particular the Abruzzo pecorino chees.

Grape variety: Montepulciano in purity.
Vinification: out method requires that the grapes are vinified in cement tanks. Red wine vinificazion with indigenous yeasts, maceration of 6-8 days at temperatures between 24 and 26° C to facilitate the extration of the dyeing substances contained in the skin of the grape berries. Ageing in oak berriques for at least 10 months.
